M42

The Orion Nebula M42 is a particularly fascinating object. Already beautifully structured optically in the C8, Stellina also captures it in a fascinating way. First attempts with only a few images were already very nice to look at and encouraging.

Image taken on 17.01.2021, with 14 individual images, each with an exposure time of 10 seconds, total exposure time approx. 2 minutes. The observation conditions correspond to approx. Bortle class 7-8. Internally processed JPEG.

Photo taken on 22.01.2021 with 49 individual shots, each with an exposure time of 10 seconds. The total exposure time is approx. 8 minutes. The observation conditions correspond to approx. Bortle class 7-8. Internally processed JPEG.

Image taken on 14.02.2021. 210 individual images with an exposure time of 10 seconds each, total exposure time approx. 35 minutes. The observation conditions correspond to approx. Bortle class 7-8. RAW images (FITS) were saved, which were manually stacked and stretched in Siril, then processed in Skylum Luminar Neo with regard to contrast, detail enhancement and noise reduction.
